 THE MAGNIFICENT

BEHIND EVERY STRONG MAN THERE IS A STRONG WOMEN.





Hurrem was born in the early 16th century in the town of Rohatyn, which is now located in Ukraine. At that time, the region was part of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Hurrem was captured by Crimean Tatars, a Turkish-speaking ethnic group, during one of their raids on her hometown. She was the sold as a slave in the slave markets of Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire.

As a slave Hurrem was purchase by the Ottoman palace and was soon noticed by Suleiman the Magnificent, who was then the Crown Prince of the Empire. Suleiman was immediately captivated by her beauty and intelligence and soon made her his concubine. Hurrem quickly rose through the ranks of the harem and became Suleiman’s favourite Behind Sultan Suleiman many accomplishments, there was a woman who plays a significant role in his life and his reign,  Hurrem Sultan was more than just a wife to Sultan Suleiman, she was his trusted advisor and confidante. Their relationship was even seen as a partnership, and many historians believe that Hurrem Sultan had a significant influence on the Sultan’s decision-making.

Why I adore so much her and make her as my idol is because of her ability to maneuver within the Ottoman court. As a former slaved, she faced prejudice and discrimination, but she uses her wit and intelligence to overcome the challenges and become one of the most powerful women in Ottoman history. Her influence was felt not only in the palace but also in wider Ottoman Empire, where she was known for her charitable works and advocacy for women’s rights. Hurrem was a strong advocate for women’s rights and was known for her charitable works. She supported various charitable institutions, including hospitals, schools, and orphanages. Her philanthropic work helped improve the lives of many people in the Ottoman Empire.

Despite her power and influence, Hurrem Sultan’s position was not without its challenges. She faced opposition from some members of Ottoman court who resented he influence on the Sultan. Nevertheless, she remained a powerful figure until her death in 1558.

 

Today, Hurrem Sultan’s  continues to be celebrated in Turkey and beyond. She is remembered as a powerful and influential woman who broke the mold of the traditional role of women in the Ottoman Empire. Her story has been the subject of many books, films, and TV shows, and she continues to inspire people around the world.
