The best event that i have experienced
There’s
a very fond memory of mine about handling an event. The best event that I was a
part of is I handled a singing competition during my high school days. We name
it The Voice, taking the name from the famous program. It was so fun; a lot of
hidden talent came out. People really enjoyed the event.
It
was during activity week, where on the whole week there is no class but only
fun activities to do. We have the sports day, treasure hunt and many more. One of
it is my activity where I, as the student’s disciplinary board need to handle a
program, so we decided to The Voice, since it is fun and a unique event.
We started with the audition phase. A lot of students signed up for it
and we are so happy about that. During the audition, we setup three chairs, will
be seated by three members of student’s disciplinary board. In order to move to
the next phase which is the final phase, all three of the members has to turn
facing them as a clarification for their talent. It was so fun watching it. A lot
of them didn’t pass since we are looking for the best of the best. It is a
tough competition if you ask me. Surprisingly, there is a band! I was shocked
and excited about since I’m a rock fan so they must make an appearance. I personally
judge the band and it was so cool. Finally, we decide only 5 contestant and a
band to continue to the final stage.
The final stage went on at night as I remember. I was a host at that night
and the preparation for it is tough. The sound system has to be perfect and the
flow of the program has to be smooth. I am very grateful since my team is very
professional. That night went very smooth. The audience is very cheerful and
the contestant give everything their got. The band which was called “the
no-name band” did very well. They played sweet child o mine by guns n roses. I was
so happy that night. The event I handled went smoothly and I got to hear a rock
band play. It is so much fun.
From here, what I learn is that in order to have a proper program, you
need to have a proper planning and a proper team. For me this is the foundation
for any event. If you succeed to plan, then you’re planning to success
